 Covering the vast and amazing world of DIY provides her with endless brain candy and gives her hope in the future of the human race. Maker Faire is, without a doubt, the most inspirational event she’s had the pleasure of working. 

Born in Tehran, Iran, and raised in Chicago, she has forever been amazed by the complexities of language, and the cultural differences therein. Goli is a word nerd who particularly loves to geek out on how emerging technology affects the lexicon as a whole. When she's not fawning over perfect word choices, she can be found on the nearest mountain, finding the ideal backcountry lake or hunting for snow to feed her snowboard addiction.

Josef Szuecs (pronounced SOOCH) has been running Renga Arts, a gallery/store offering art, crafts and products made from reclaimed and recycled materials, since 2004. Since the beginning, Renga Arts was intended to offer as much of an inspirational experience to its visitors as a retail endeavor. As well as offering the works of other talented artists, Joe also produces work. He strives to create pieces that combine good design, solid construction and a creative take on reuse. His output ranges from simple functional products to installations incorporating microcontrollers and electromechanical devices.

Todd Barricklow is the eldest son of two puppet-making schoolteachers. He fled the San Fernando Valley in 1988 to attend Sonoma State University and study humanities and ceramics. He graduated with Distinction in 1992 with a B.A. in Ceramics. He was an Artist in Residence at the Kohler Company in Wisconsin in 1999, where he learned more than he ever thought he wanted to know about toilets and also fell in love with the technique of Sgraffito. He works in ceramics, woodblock and metal. Todd has built many things with pedals from cargo bikes and food bikes, to large-scale contraptions with sometimes up to 9’-diameter wheels. Todd lives and works in Santa Rosa, California, and is a founding member of the Fun Bike Unicorn Club.

Geneva Bumb Shanti has been dedicated to the art and science of photography for over 30 years. Visual ethnography and the psychology of intrapersonal relationships are her two main sources of inspiration, motivated by a desire to engage and inspire her audience into personal action. She has gained a strong reputation as a professional and fine art photographer over the last 15 years, specializing in documentary and environmental portraiture, fashion and events. Geneva has shown her work throughout California, New York, and Costa Rica, and has received numerous awards and grants. Her photographs have been recognized, published and collected throughout the world. Geneva’s client list includes National Geographic, The California Academy of Sciences, Abrams Publications and Bay Nature Magazine.
