As well as refining a distinct form this designer responded to a common problem associated with torches: namely you can’t see where you’re going when you point the torch in the direction of travel. A controlled leak of light, illuminates the path as well as the way ahead.
It is natural that other parts beside the front part shown brightly look darker.
Fla- C is the flash for indicating unconscious area when people use the flash.
When seeing the bright place in the dark area or seeing the dark place in the bright area, our pupil expands or reduces.
At the moment, we can see the afterimage of the light in the dark place, and feel it darker.
At this moment, we feel the darkness and sense the danger.
The viewing angle of the users is 180 degree, and it is not sensed of the bright front side only.
The small amount of light senses the bottom which was felt dark unconsciously.
The former flashlight projects the intensity of the light toward the front by 100 percent. By projecting the bottom without additional electric power and bulb, the small amount light of 30 percent projects. One bulb and one battery is enough to use.
The small amount of light coming from the bottom offers the security to the user.
By brightening FLa-C, even the unconscious sight can be secured.
Transformed shape of the reflective ball.
The reflective ball of general bulb is trumpet shape and the direction of the light is toward the front by 100 percent, but the edge of Fla-C is shrinking shape to reflect the light.
The reflection plate of former flashlight is designed to project the light toward the front with funnel shape.
But, in the case of the reflection plate of Fla-c, the edge part of the funnel reflects the light by shrinking round and the reflecting light can project toward the hole below.
This flash is not to use for the front in 100 percent, but to project for the below in 20 percent.
The use can choose whether to brighten with the bottom or not.
Fla-c is the controling type of projected light without additional bulb.
It has a different signification from solving in formally for this function of “it senses the bottom part” at first. Hereafter, for the differentiation from current flashlight, it is signified the felling of grip. The shape of Fla-C looked in the side is to be known the feeling of grip of organic type. For the noticeable of this organic type more, it was focused on the beauty of resection. This beauty of resection was applied in the design of both edge side, sticking section of button, opening pit part in the observation in the side. Also, it was designed as oval shape deriving from current round shape with thinking importantly of the grip feeling.
Thus, the opening hole also was oval shape. The most important part is the opening hole part. For design of this opening hole, various promotion was processed. Besides the pattern design, the thing related to the opening hole was researched. In the formal part, current flashlight, and the products focused on the feeling of grip was researched.
Lastly, since the outer shape of the product and inner shape is also important, we dismantled various flashlight in person and confirmed.5. In history, the reflection panel of flashlight was not changed in the structure. However, our small change suggests the possibility of various development of flashlight. Fla-C is not the same light intensity between the bottom part and front part in use. Foregoing, the bottom part can only sense the bottom part under the foot with 20% of small amounts of light intensity. For the shining the bottom part, the extra bulb was not used and it is saving the energy and cost. It is very efficient that one bulb and one battery have two effects.
